Apples & oranges.

There’s a synergistic, almost cosmic connection between Florida and New York City. From snowbirds to NYC transplants, we’ve always been curious about the transitive nature of these east coast locales. What started as a silly curiosity about these weird and wonderful connections snow-balled (or beach-balled) into a week-long exhibition featuring 27 artists, and raising over $3k for Arts education in Florida. 

From Florida Man to the Naked Cowboy, each place has their own iconic characters and stories. We were thrilled to see that everyone has strange and heartfelt connections to FL,NY. 

27 artists participated, from many disciplines and with varied connects to New York, Florida, or both.

All proceeds from the sale of artwork and merchandise were donated to Friends of Elementary Arts, Inc., a non-profit advocating for arts education in Florida.
